Educate a Child Trust (EACT) is a charity providing education for over 800 children and post-tsunami housing for more than 60 families in Kalutara, Sri Lanka. It aims to give children from the area’s fishing villages access to free school education by supplying the uniforms, shoes, pens and pencils their parents can’t afford.
My longtime client and friend Priyanthi Fernando asked me to design a logo for the organization. The mark shows a child learning to write, using the very school supplies EACT helps provide. The “e” of the name is the letter being written, so the act of learning and the name of the charity become one image.
